Operation Pyramid Crush II

Pyramid Crush I saw 4 lost friendly aircraft, a terrible cost to the IAF. However, the EAF threw its entire remaining air force at us and was decimated. Air defenses have been heavily reduced in Cairo, although an extensive IADS still remains. Pyramid Crush II is a re-attack on the Cairo IADS with the intent being to destroy all long range ballistic or high risk SAMs. Success in Pyramid Crush II will enable future air supremacy over Egypt.

Game plan:

At 1754 Snake1 will get airborne push at medium altitude, arriving at Said Camp at 1821, which is the push point, and begin a TARCAP, killing any bandits in the vicinity.

At 1754 4 ship Stud1 out of Sde Dov will also get airborne, followed by Python 1 (1755), Serpent 1 (1756) and Shark1 (1757) out of Nevatim. The first to arrive (1823) at push after Snake1 will be Python 1, who will strip south west and begin to work air defenses in Cairo South. 1 minute later (1824) Serpent1 will strip to Cairo South.

At 1825 Shark1 will push, followed by Stud1. Shark1 will work air defenses in Cairo North while Stud1 destroys Egyptian engineers attempting to repair Abu Suwayr 1 nm NNE of the airbase. On mission completion Stud1 will attack air defenses in Cairo North, from the SE.

Flights will operate as hunter killer pairs, with leads using GBU-15s (killers) and wings using AGM-45s (hunters). AGM-45 should be used for detecting and suppressing radars while the GBU-15 should be used to kill those radars.

Employment of GBU-15s at 30-35k is ideal for standoff advantage against SA-2. Jammer on is required for standoff employment.

Flights will check out as they reach the end of vul. If the TARCAP reaches the end of vul, miller time will be called.
