ACRE - 866 Bug tracker thread

In the interest of collecting as many of the bugs that UO encounter whilst testing the beta versions of ACRE a relevant thread has been created.

All bugs posted here will be relayed across to the ACRE dev team, hopefully removing the key excuse for not informing them and increasing their ability to fix these issues. 

 

So, if you encounter a bug please post below.

In the event you encounter a bug already posted please quote the bug, state the day you also encountered this error and provide the RPT.

 

If you are unaware of how to get your RPT you can find the logs here:

ACRE bug - 866: ACRE Not fully initializing (not able to hear people and radios


 


Level of severity: Game Breaking


 


What was the bug: On some instances of initially going onto a server (hosted or dedicated), acre will fail to fully initialize, causing the user to not hear other players, either by direct or radio. The current fix is to restart your game, and hopefully fix the issue. 


 


Can you replicate the bug: 6-10 games


 


Please provide the RPT log at the time of bug: Will edit on next occurrence.

ACRE bug - 866: ACRE radio not working after reslot

 

Level of severity: Medium

 

What was the bug:

Due to a ACRE Issue it said in a Text box I had different iventory detected. Also people told me I would wear no uniform, I still could see me in uniform though.

Also 343 and 148 did stop to work after that message. Had to reslot.

After reslot people on the same SR as me were unable to hear me.

After that person (HelloCam) resollted, 343s worked fine again.

No idea what could have caused this.

 

Can you replicate the bug:

No, has yet to repeat

 

Please provide the RPT log at the time of bug:

Only thing I could find was an ACRE.log and it was useless

This is a broken mission issue. As the text box indicated. The message occurs when the mission's inventory system is done in a manner that will break,and to no surprise it broke for some people.

Report the mission.

I get the following script error on most mission entries when loaded onto the briefing.

Another thing i get is that I occasionally loose the Pipe connection, I'm not sure when it happens I'll write down the exact time next time to find the proper rpt entry but I think it is this:

 

 1:03:21 4133.03 ACRE: Server shutting down ping loop.
 1:03:21 4133.08 ACRE PIPE ERROR: No ping return, attempting to reattach named pipe.
 1:03:23 Pipe Error: Read Loop CreateFileA WinErrCode: 231
 1:03:32 4144.49 ACRE: Pipe opened.

ACRE bug - 866:

 

Level of severity: Low

 

What was the bug: At mission start ACRE volume is initialized with random value. Usually it's either whisper or shout.

 

Can you replicate the bug: Yes.

 

Please provide the RPT log at the time of bug: Will provide it as soon as it occurs again.

ACRE bug - 866:


 


Level of severity: Game Breaking


 


What was the bug:


No local speech when person is in the next room on shout. (considering my mom was able to call me through 3 rooms with closed doors i am pretty sure that this is wrong)


Happend yesterday in TVT46 OBJ Tanner.


 


Can you replicate the bug: Yes by just testing local speech in a building.

Yes by just testing local speech in a building.

Which building types, where are actors present in these buildings?

What landmass were these buildings on (to determine CUP/A3 Base game content issues)?

Arma 3 building the barracks building with 2 floors and stairs in the middle. Placed in editor on zargabad. Actor was me and 2 other people.

FYI for people who think their radio is broken or not getting signal. Each transmission to you is logged in the RPT with relevant signal information, even if you can't hear it (because the signal is too bad).

It does not seem speaker mode works on the 148.

Seconding this. INT AUDIO is not audible to carrier or to people around him.

What was the bug: Cannot hear anyone ingame. They also cannot hear me.


 


Can you replicate the bug: Yes


 


Notes: I tried all the usual. Reloaded plugins, reinstalled ACRE, ran TS as admin, not as admin. It was working fine over the weekend, it started today.

Edit: Resolved. Upon first restart nothing was fixed, I restarted a second time via power switch and it fixed.
