  1. Oh totally, I'm fully aware. I mean, speaking for myself, I usually can't even make those few hour windows to play and I'm typically working in the evenings anyway. I'm just suggesting as a low-effort fix for little Steam notifications and TS and Discord announcements to encourage people that are available to play. If regulars, officers, and the like are busy with real life shit which is the case, I think this will help organize sessions without anyone having to be directly involved.
  2. Should be 4 'play sessions' a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Each day at around 1PM, then again at 7PM, the Steam Group should have an announcement and the TS should have a mass poke. Encourage people to hop on. Where are the PROs, Officers, and Regulars that have committed themselves to this community? Why aren't they promoting play and encouraging people to get on? Where is any advertisement at all for play sessions or anything of the like? It's disappointing seeing the server fill up once a week to 40 people and die an hour or two later. No effort at all from really anyone.
  3. I'm going to shoot my dick off with a 44. outside your house.

  4. I think the entire issue is centered around the failure of the community to get more members and continue to breath life into the server. Who once populated the server 3 or 4 years ago now have jobs and lives. Nobody is joining. There are 50 people max on a lucky week for one day. There is a total lack of promotion and outreach on any platform. The success of ShacTac and other communities that are thriving off of YouTube and Reddit is a prime example. Like many of us we sit here checking the top right of the site to see if there's anybody playing, and when it shows 0 we do something else, and it's a vicious circle with no coordinated times of play. There's also that whole issue of extremely hostile power members and a general feeling of unwelcomness that has plagued UO since around the time of ArmA 3 adoption. It could be turned around but I think nobody is willing to put in the work.
  5. dang dude congrats, dont die plz and have fun
  6. BLUFOR 2SQ Rifleman AT does not spawn with a map. When given a map it still doesn't work.
  7. Fair enough. Thinking about this monitor. I currently have purchased and in possession of the GPU, CPU, RAM, and CPU fan. I need to grab the case, hopefully it'll still be in stock a place locally, as well as the motherboard, HDDs, and PSU. Those shouldn't be too hard to grab though. If anyone has recommendations on a mouse I'm all ears, just not trying to drop $80 or something crazy.
  8. I'm not trying to drop $2,000 right away, at least budgeting a little. I can live with one monitor for now.
  9. Wow thanks JB, wouldn't have known the MB was gimped. I'll grab that board or the one up, the Z170-P D3 for the extra USB 3.0 slots. And thanks for the recommendation about the PSU, I wasn't sure if 500W was even enough. Saved me a lot of heartache down the line so really appreciate it. I work professionally staff and do real freelance work on the side so I need a capable machine. I know the hard drives aren't as much as I could use but for starting out it should be alright. As I understand it adding a new harddrive shouldn't be very difficult, if I can do it with a closed off Macbook Pro then I'm sure I can do it easily on my own machine. In any case 99% of your footage will be on an external and if I really need a performance boost I can temporarily move the footage/project file onto the SSD. That's the plan at least. I'm still deciding on the monitor, if I should get a 1080p high refresh rate monitor, or a 1440p, or maybe a 1920x1200 widescreen monitor. It's tough to decide.
  10. Awesome thank guys, is there a difference in motherboards in terms of features or capabilities? And how do USB ports work, is it a per case basis or do I need to purchase USB bus expansion?
  11. Heyo Your favorite asshole is back! I'm trying so spend around $1,200 (not including keyboard, mouse, and monitor) on a PC rig mostly for 2K-4K video editing. Obviously I'd like to game on the side as well but I need a more powerful computer than a fucking laptop that I currently use. It'll be used heavily for rendering and exporting. Below is some parts from PC Part Picker, would really love some feedback since I know next to nothing about the difference in mobos and cases and coolers. I'm pretty set on the 1070 at the very least. I plan on getting a 1440p monitor so I think it should be able to handle games rather well at 60fps. 12. Jesus fucking christ, do not waste your time and money on a god damn gaming headset. Buy an extremely nice pair of studio headphones for a fraction of the price and just get a $10 mic on the side. You can even buy clips for normal headphones. This thread makes me sad.
