  1. Really? It's day and night for me. I mean, with such a high powered machine that'll get 100FPS or more on every game, it'll be kinda dumb to limit yourself to a 60hz refresh rate. Though, monitor selection at 144hz with an IPS panel is pretty small and pretty expensive. If a TN panel isn't out of the question, it's really hard to go wrong with a 24" or 27" 144hz BenQ.
  2. High refresh > high resolution, IMO(I have a monitor that does both). With the 1070, pushing past 100fps in most games should be doable. As far as mice go, if you want something that's programmable/extra functionality: G303, G502, Fnatic Flick G1. If you want something stripped down and for performance : Zowie EC2-A. Your mouse technique/grip should play a biug role in what mouse you end up buying.
  3. Aren't they already remastering COD4? COD4 was very good and pretty balanced but MW2 knocked it's socks off in terms of fun.
  4. Well, considering this will be a gaming machine...
  5. 5 years is already a stretch for any system.
  6. I would get a cheap placeholder card and wait for this, tbh. I would also consider this as well, pretty much what you have currently but with a Gigabyte G1 Z170 ITX and either a Fractal Nano S or Phanteks Evolv ITX case.
  7. Disregarding, ignoring, little difference. Get whatever you want, dude.
  8. He got suggestions to disregard gaming headsets because they are junk and ignored it. I'm far from an audio nerd and I have some significant hearing damage and I can tell the difference between "high end" gaming headsets like Astro A40's and my 8 year old Audio Technica AD700's. You can be within your budget and have far better sound and mic quality than most every gaming headset available. http://www.amazon.com/Grado-SR60e-Headphones/dp/B00KYTNU9U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458617527&sr=8-1&keywords=sr60e or http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR7506-Professional-Diaphragm-Headphone/dp/B000AJIF4E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458617799&sr=8-1&keywords=mdr+7506 http://www.amazon.com/Condenser-Multimedia-Microphone-Especially-Conference/dp/B014ULW9GC/ref=sr_1_19?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1458617672&sr=1-19&keywords=desk+microphone
  9. So you're purposely buying a shitty product because you don't "need" sound quality, and you won't be able to tell a difference in sound quality of something you've never tried. Got it.
  10. CPU: 6600k @ 4.8ghz RAM: G.Skill DDR4 2400mhz Video Card: R9 390 Game Resolution: 2560x1440 SSD: Crucial MX100 OS: Windows 10 Enterprise Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Remarks: Over a 50% performance increase from my last computer, even at a much higher resolution. GPU doesn't really matter much it seems.
