  1. PolarBeast aside, there was a really nice shot around 28:45
  2. I'm terrible at the game. I would play with you, but I don't know if you would want me to.
  3. Throw me in there, Xceno! Have to look like a dick, though.
  4. 1'2 FT 2 Leader, was tasked with bounding across an open field while under fire. Got about 100m out, SL Foxxy was killed, most of the rest of my squad was killed, fell back to 1'6 with Century. Century was killed. Pushed with 1'6 and remaining 1st Platoon when the assault began, lost a few more good men. Made it to the compound, got on a building to engage enemies on some sand bag positions north of OBJ King 1. Building next to me had an IED and went off. I died. On the plus side, found Reddish with Kazu and helped Kazu patch him up, figure out a treatment plan, and eventually abandoned it because I ran out of medical supplies and Kazu gave up. Reddish survived, but he was still unconscious when we left him. I stopped his bleeding though. For the most part.
  5. I also preordered the game. If anyone is inclined to do so when the game is released, my Uplay name is T.Dackery.
  6. I have an extra key from when I preordered, will get you into the alpha as it stands right now, with full release as well. The person I preordered with found another key, since I was gone for a while. PM me or message me for it.
  7. There were 3 of us. Myself, Foxxy, and a guy that we know. The comic con itself was quite disappointing, all you could do there is look at stuff, buy said stuff, or play dungeons and dragons in a corner. Was not what was expected. Drinking started at about 1700, involving a cheap beer 30 pack, Captain Morgan, and Jim Beam. A Beeramid was made out of empties. Cans were shotgunned. Even after going back to comic con quite buzzed, it was depressing. We eventually left and walked around Louisville for a short period, returning to the hotel room, where we decided to get shit faced drunk. The 3rd guy refused to drink with us, said we were pissing him off, and called his TL to come pick him up all the way from Fort Campbell. We literally threw him out. Around 2130, Bluedrake42 called Foxxy and invited us to a brewery for a beer, about 3 miles away. We got a taxi from the hotel room, and went over there. I don't remember much else. I don't know how we got back to the hotel room. I don't know how my pants and sweater got on the floor or how I got into bed. It took me 15 minutes to find the majority of my stuff in the morning, because it was strewn about the room willy nilly.
  8. Quick update, in case you were not aware, foxxy and I are at the Louisville comic con this weekend. Things are FUBAR. Sitrep to follow Monday.
  9. Was at TG for a short time before the creation of UO. Joined UO shortly after it was made. I'm an occasional presence nowadays.
  10. Super fucking fantastic news, also should answer your question jackal. The tumor that I was told was cancerous was reviewed by some renowned pathologists at a larger hospital. Tissues were atypical but deemed benign in nature. The pathologist who originally reviewed the sample just hadn't seen parathyroid adenoma tissue from a person my age before, which apparently presents differently than older people and has a tendency to be locally invasive like it was. TL;DR cancer wasn't cancer. It was simply really confusing tissues.
  11. Yup. The tumor had wrapped itself around the thyroid, which is why half of that was also removed, and around the vocal nerve which is why I will have vocal paresis for the next 3-6 months. They did a good job removing the bad stuff. Yes, this did affect my singing voice. Doc said I should have 100% recovery of the vocal cords in 3-6 months, and since the vocal structure wasn't altered in any way, my voice should return to what it sounded like before.
  12. I actually have paramedic externships I still have to do. I still have 200 hours of ride time I need to do before September 14. Now that I'm out of the hospital, I'm giving myself until Wednesday to recover, then I'll be back on an ambulance every other day for 12 hours a day to catch back up. While my program director would 100% probably be willing to give me a clinical set back so I can finish it another time, I don't want to do that. Thanks for the concern and well wishes, gents. Now that I managed to get this behind me, my main goal is pushing forward with my life and getting stronger again so I can get back to work as well. Though, I will be around still, as always. I may some day figure out how to install ACE3 and join you guys on the server. I love you.
  13. Foxxy said he told some of you what happened to me. He was right. I was in the hospital for the past 2 weeks. Went to the ER feeling like shit, turns out my blood serum calcium was at 18 mg/dL (normal range: 8.5 - 10.5 mg/dL. I was basically at risk for sudden cardiac arrest.) More tests pointed to a hyperactive parathyroid gland, which regulates calcium levels. My PTH (parathyroid hormone) levels were at 700, which is 10x normal hormone levels. Basically, my body was removing calcium from my bones and it was floating around willy nilly in my blood. The first hospital I was in managed to get my calcium lower and run the tests I needed to get surgery, but couldn't perform the surgery itself so I was transferred to a larger hospital last Friday. On Monday, I went in for what was supposed to be a 20 minute surgery to remove the hyperactive parathyroid gland (which was tumorous) (it had grown to 3cm in size, which is fucking massive, by the way). During surgery, BOOM guess what? Turns out the tumor was cancerous. 20 minute surgery turned into 5 hour surgery and they had to scrape the tumor off my vocal nerve, and explore the rest of my neck. They also removed half my thyroid. I've been recovering since then. I just got out yesterday. I have a really gnarly scar on my throat, now, though. TL;DR: was in hospital, had parathyroid cancer, survived.
  14. The closed pre-alpha is out, they'll be running servers on weekends with updates weekly.
  15. It's been a long time, sir.
  16. Hello, me, it's me. I sort of remember a Fuzzywig from TG, but you didn't list me so I suppose I don't matter
