  1. I'm up for it. I'd suggest a specific mod, unless people want to play strictly vanilla.
  2. I'd wait for the first patch, the game's kind of broken right now. Multiplayer also desyncs on a few games for some reason.
  3. Well, 2 more days! Post your crews here, or join one! Remember you can be a member of upto 5 crews. 4. Brickhead you can't really compare DICE and BI. DICE belongs to EA, one of the largest publishers in the video game market, and the budget/userbase for their products are much larger. Anyway, as to your point about the trouble BI had project planning, when the game was first revealed BIS made many promises regarding new, working 3D editor, introduction of JAVA in scripting, complete PhysX implementation for objects, TKOH flight model for ArmA3 helicopters, MP and AI optimizations. From the middle of 2012 towards the end of that year it became clear BIS wasn't anywhere near fulfilling any of these promises and they dropped JAVA, 3D Editor, TKOH, AI Improvements, and limited PhysX to vehicle objects. Reference this article for some of these cancellations (some of them were announced on the forums instead): http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=17263 By the end of 2012 they announced a delay to the game and that the project lead had left. Some of the designers also left at that time. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=18192 At that point, ArmA3 looked like a dying project to the fanbase. Feature cancellations, lead development personnel leaving, disappointing features and more. These doubts were finally confirmed in a dev blog posted over 2 weeks ago by the new project lead explaining where they were at that time and how the project almost failed and had to be salvaged. http://www.bistudio.com/english/company/developers-blog/394-survive-adapt-win So yeah, when I say ArmA3 faced disastrous project management, there's probably enough evidence to support it. Also:
  5. You're really over-dramatizing it, the problems with ArmA3 were never because of budgeting, it was failed project management. Also the Czech Republic is a "dirt-poor country" now?
  6. To fix this in Teamspeak 3: Settings -> Options -> Hotkeys -> (Bottom Right change it to Direct Input)
  7. Monetized mods would probably kill multiplayer communities.
  8. It's decent but a bit buggy right now, keeps deploying randomly if you're standing next to/in front of an object (fence, shipping crate etc.)
  9. Actually Bohemia did say that, and they're now selling it for $60. And ArmA3 had disastrous development issues before the Lemnos stuff.
  10. Thanks, it's pretty gamebreaking at this point for that type of mission. I'm amazed BIS hasn't fixed it in 3 months.
  11. http://forums.unitedoperations.net/index.php/page/ArmA3/missionlist/_/livemissions/co44-invade-and-annex-altis-224-uoacre-r28? - Helicopters will randomly blow up upon entry of Pilot players, reproduced 5 times on the 12/9 playthrough. Pilots weren't flagged as teamkillers prior to entring the helicopters. - The A143 Buzzard jet, obtained by completing side missions, sometimes spawns in the hangar on the airfield. It gets completely stuck at the entrance of the hangar and has to be pushed out with another vehicle, with disastrous consequences: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/616154883306491431/CC54577F213C57C1A8476EE6B7602D1B478BAD7A/
  12. I think the game is irredeemable at this point unless they patch a bunch of the features to make them more fun, even if you try fixing the issues with mods it remains that the game lacks depth. The politics aspect is a joke and once you start getting into the 150+ turn games it just turns into a long boring slog against factions that field the exact same unit compositions with the exact same tactics. There's just not much fun to spreading your faction's color on the map after a while as most of the people you fight aren't "unique" and the game doesn't offer any challenge.
  13. The Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia are completely opposed to each other, just to update your list of insane conspiracy theories. Pick one.
