  2. On the left side click "GOING" Mission Overview: Mustang1 (SWEEP) Package #: 3151 (Countersea) Pkg-Mission: Strike the Kuznetsov CSG Station Area: 52 nm southeast of Pusan. Time on Station: 19:35:44 Situation: The purpose of this attacked is to provoke the enemy into defending his airspace en masse, allowing our fighters to engage in a decisive battle and eliminate the enemies ability to contest the skies. To achieve this a TASMO from the 99th FTR Squadron and a DEAD from the 14th FTR squadron will conduct follow up attacks on the enemies carrier group and integrated air defense in the vicinity of Tsushima island. Once the primary targets are destroyed, the two strike packages will continue towards the secondary target of Pusan AB and strike targets of opportunity. Destruction of enemy aircraft is the priority. The enemy will be forced to either engage us in the air or face the destruction of their fighter force on the ground. Additionally, the destruction of the enemy battle group and nearby IADS will facilitate operations to the south of the peninsula in the future. This will hopefully allow us to bypass the main enemy defenses to strike against the coastal airbases with less difficulty. The enemy forces arrayed against us here will be formidable. The enemy carrier battle group fields a significant fighter contingent, consisting of 33 Sukhoi Su-33 Fighters. Pusan Airbase to the North fields 14 Mig-31, 12 Mig-27, and 14 Su-27. Furthermore, the southern coast features a robust IAD's, consisting of numerous SA-10 and SA-5 SAMS, and numerous low altitude sams and AAA. Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures: It must be emphasized that the objective of this mission is to destroy as many aircraft as possible. This means that it may not be necessary for the strike packages to actually hit their targets, although they should make every effort to do so. The strike package is expected to ingress to the target even if it loses fighter cover. The SWEEP flights will attempt to stay with the strike package but will be redirected to aerial targets as they appear. The mission will be directed by the package commander who will be aboard the AWACS. Flights will not act independently of the AWACS except as necessity dictates. AWACS will be directing flights to specific targets and coordinating the package as a team. Tactical decisions are left to flight leads and element leads depending on the context. Flight leads are encouraged to give their elements a high degree of autonomy. 7. On the left side click "GOING" UOAF BMS Session 379 - Saturday [2019-04-06, 1800z] Strike Intel has revealed that the Russians have some of their top scientists and spies on location at the Alta Nuclear Plant attempting to study its components, likely to develop malware which to infect other Western power plants with. This is an opportunity to cripple their infowar capabilities by knocking out the facility with the HVTs inside. A regiment of Russian Guards tank units are in the vicinity guarding the facility and it is expected the Russian will also deploy air assets to defend the site. We have devastated their air defenses and it will be some time before those will be deployed to the region in force, so the SAM threat is low. The package will conduct an NOE approach and Fury1 perform a pop-up attack using precision munitions to knock out the Alta Nuclear Plant. Panther1 will support Fury1 in the total destruction of the site with a secondary objective of the tanks operating in the area. Lobo1 will engage and destroy any enemy fighters that threaten the primary mission. Good luck!

  12. I think the new site is a great improvement. I like the larger, cleaner fonts. The calendar on the front page sidebar is a significant improvement. And creating and editing posts seems far less temperamental compared to the legacy forum. Great job, guys!

Continue putting pressure on the Russians by chipping away at their air bases to regain the initiative in the sky. The SAMs have largely been suppressed in this AO, so this mission will focus on getting a small flight carrying JDAMs in range to knock out the Vuojarvi Highway Strip.
